The interest of MEBP’s members, employers, sponsors and other stakeholders are represented by the Board of Trustees, the Investment Committee and the Audit & Risk Management Committee.
A Joint Board of Trustees oversees the administration of MEBP and the investments of the Pension and Disability Income Plans. The Board Consists of:
- Four trustees who are appointed by the Association of Manitoba Municipalities (AMM) to represent municipalities, and
- Four trustees to represent the employees:
- One appointed by the Manitoba Municipal Administrators Association (MMAA),
- One appointed by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), and
- Two elected by the Members, from the Member.
The Chair is elected by the Trustees and alternates between employee and employer trustees.
The Board has delegated the day-to-day administration responsibilities to Coughlin & Associates, Employee Benefit Specialists. Coughlin & Associates Ltd. is a People Corporation Company.
